  Albany

The CNWSMT, located in the city of Albany, New York, is conveniently located near the entire Capital Region of Upstate New York.

A thriving center of transportation, Albany is only a few hours from New York City, Boston and Montreal as well as close to borders of Vermont and Massachusetts. The area is also a hub of commerce and the seat of New York State government.

The area abounds in rich natural beauty and there is no shortage of outdoor activities from which to choose including hiking, skiing, boating, canoeing, camping, fishing and hunting. The Catskill Mountains, steeped in history, are close by to the south, while the magnificent six million acre Adirondack Park and Lake George, Queen of American lakes, is an hours drive north from the school.

The area is home to a number of excellent hospitals and medical facilities. In addition, there are many nearby colleges and universities including Rensselaer Polytecnic Institute, Union College, Skidmore College, Russelll Sage College, The College of Saint Rose and SUNY at Albany, with an undergraduate and graduate enrollment of over 19,000 students. A number of two year colleges, trade and technical schools and institutions are also found in the area.

Culturally the Capital Region is home to many fine museums and institutions including the Albany Institute of History and Art, and the New York State Museum at Albany, the oldest and largest institution of its kind in the nation.

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), Pepsi Arena, Troy Music Hall and Proctors Theatrein nearby Schenectady also host an incredible array of shows, plays, concerts and sporting events.
