Course Description:
ENHANCE YOUR REFLEXOLOGY SESSION WITH HEATED BASALT ROCKS AND AROMATHERAPY! TAKE YOUR REFLEXOLOGY SESSIONS TO THE NEXT LEVEL. THIS PROTOCOL USES SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN ESSENTIAL OILS FROM LOVINGSCENTS AROMATHERAPY TO ALLOW YOU TO TAILOR A SESSION FOR YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS. IT IS HELPFUL TO HAVE HAD PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH REFLEXOLOGY BUT IS NOT NECESSARY.

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • SAFE AND EFFECTIVE USE OF HEATED BASALT ROCKS AND AROMATHERAPY DURING A REFLEXOLOGY SESSION
  • TECHNIQUES TO USE THE ROCKS BOTH IN THE AFFECTED AREA AND AS A WRAP OR PACK ON THE FEET
  • THERAPEUTIC AROMATHERAPY WITH EIGHT ESSENTIAL OILS TARGETING COMMON DISCOMFORTS
  • HOW TO COMBINE THE OILS AND ADD TO A CARRIER FOOT BALM FOR THE REFLEXOLOGY SESSION

Objectives:

  1. Introduce Integrated Reflexology and Hot Rocks’ Aromatherapy- meet the 8 essential oils in the sweet feet kit. Distinguish aromatherapy and reflexology historical and current approach.
  2. Students will distinguish various reflexology touch types and beneficial applications differentiated with select essential oils and soothing Sweet Feet mixture.
  3. Students will recognize the powerful natural effects of of castor oils anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, antibacterial and wound healing properties.
  4. Students will recognize the art and science of reflexology aromatherapy and current resources.
  5. Students will distinguish different energetic grades of pressure, frequency of sessions, and contraindication considerations.
  6. Students will recognize how select rocks aromatherapy supports fundamental four theory reflexology therapeutic results.
  7. Students will recognize how to observe and gauge reactions, considerations and conclude client session.

About the Instructor Eileen T. Newsome:

EDUCATED AND SKILLED IN WESTERN AND EASTERN MASSAGE MODALITIES, SHE IS AN NCBTMB APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION PROVIDER FOR CLAIRE MARIE MILLER SEMINARS. SHE TEACHES NURTURING THE MOTHER® AND INTEGRATED REFLEXOLOGY® WORKSHOPS IN FLORIDA, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY AND MINNESOTA.

EILEEN EARNED HER MASSAGE DEGREE AT NY SWEDISH INSTITUTE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES IN 2001.  SHE IS A MEMBER OF AMTA AND FSMTA, AND SHE IS A LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST IN NY AND FL. THE CREATOR OF THE GOOD DOG MASSAGE DVD, SHE ALSO LOVES TEACHING PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS HOW TO SAFELY LEARN TO MASSAGE THEIR BABY.

PRIOR TO HER MASSAGE VOCATION SHE WAS PRIVILEGED TO WORK FOR JP MORGAN CHASE WHERE SHE MANAGED GLOBAL TREASURY FINANCIAL PRODUCTS. UPON RETIREMENT FROM JP MORGAN CHASE, SHE BEGAN HER MASSAGE THERAPY AND PERSONAL TRAINING CAREER. EILEEN EARNED HER BS DEGREE AT FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY. SHE LOVES VOLUNTEERING FOR WORTHY ORGANIZATIONS THAT SERVE SPECIAL POPULATIONS. THESE INCLUDE: GUIDE DOG FOUNDATION SMITHTOWN, NY, HOSPICE, AND SAILABILITY GREATER TAMPA BAY.
