Course Description:

EarthStone Hot Stone Massage 2: Advanced Skills for Stoneworkers is for those who already practice Stone Massage and want to deepen their work.  You will learn more in-depth about the physiology behind the effectiveness of using heated stones as tools to release tight muscles and soften scar tissue and fascia—all while reducing strain on the therapist’s body.  You’ll learn how to use the stones in specific, therapeutic work, and helpful “tricks” on using the stones to make your work easier and more effective. This is a hands-on course; come prepared to have your partner use hot stones to address your “problem areas”, and to address their concerns in return.  A very healing class.   A certificate is granted to each student upon workshop completion.

BRING: 1 set of sheets, 2 extra pillow cases, blanket, 1 bath towel, 8 hand towels,  at least 8 palm-sized “working stones”—up to 14 if you have them—and “utensils” to handle your stones. If you need stones, you can purchase a “working set” for $49 from EarthStone; call the instructor directly to order and she will bring your set to class, by-passing shipping costs.  You can view the set at www.earthstonemassage.com .  Heaters and lubricant is provided.  Any questions about supplies can be addressed directly with the instructor by email info@earthstonemassage.com , or by phone at 315-420-8674
