A course on body mechanics for myofascial release techniques that improves client results, therapist ease, and longevity of therapists’ ability to apply consistent and safe myofascial techniques over time with less wear and tear on their own body. Learn how to apply pressure through poured weight vs muscular force, soften internally to recruit strength of ligaments and tendons vs muscles. Learn grounding techniques to align feet and center through the line of applied pressure. Move from the feet and center to follow myofascial strokes as the tissue opens vs moving from the elbow and shoulder. Learn how to shift the feet while applying continuous and consistent pressure so that the client does not feel the change Instructor Bio: David Weintraub, LMT received his massage therapy education at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. He graduated and became a licensed massage therapist in NYS in 2007. In 2013, he finished his life and business coaching education during a year-long intensive with Accomplishment Coaching. His bodywork is a unique blend of deep tissue techniques, including connective tissue therapy and neuromuscular therapy, movement therapies, stretching and energy balancing. David is the owner of Bodyworks DW in NYC. He teaches continuing education for NYS & Nationally approved massage therapy courses online and in-person (NCBTMB#1000618). In addition, he is a board director for the New York State Society of Medical Massage Therapists, a non-profit formed in 1927 to advance the massage therapy community in NYS.
