Service Description

9 AM - 4 PM Sunday, Oct 29th Please bring a beach towel and two pillows for positioning. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. This course will provide the LMT with the knowledge and skills necessary to support women during the labor and birth process. Class will review the physiological, psychological and emotional journey of labor and birth, as well as techniques to facilitate and support this process. In addition, the course will prepare the LMT for the hospital environment (bed, equipment, staff) and review the roles/relationship of the LMT vis-a-vis the hospital staff. Instructor Bio: Lee Gabrilovitch, BA, RN, LMT taught childbirth classes for nearly a decade and provided labor support to many of her students. She is a CNWSMT alum and also earned her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Binghamton. Lee was a community service site supervisor for the Albany Medical Center location for CNW and now also teaches at Siena College. She continues to teach Anatomy & Physiology at CNW and believes that simply providing presence and touch can dramatically improve a client's physical, emotional and spiritual state.
