Saturday, October 24th 9am - 6pm, $200, 8 CE This MLD Facial and Deep Tissue Massage is not the standard facial offered by a cosmetologist or esthetician. Instead, it is a specialized treatment designed specifically for massage therapists and rooted in therapeutic bodywork principles. Importantly, this is not deep tissue work on the face - the delicate facial muscles require a different approach. Rather, we perform extraordinary deep tissue work on the shoulders and back before the facial massage, allowing the body to release tension, drop into deeper relaxation, and respond more fully to facial techniques. Why This Approach Works: By dramatically increasing circulation in the shoulders and back using specialized deep tissue techniques, clients experience not only profound relaxation but also a noticeably refreshed, more youthful appearance. After this preparatory work, we incorporate Manual Lymphatic Drainage for the head, neck, and face The combination of deep tissue massage and lymphatic drainage creates a transformative facial experience - one that enhances both wellness and appearance and remains true to the core principles of therapeutic massage. Dariana Walters, LMT is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. She believes the secret to wellness and longevity is living an inspired life. Her passion for health and wellness began when she decided to quit her full time corporate job to pursue a career in massage therapy. While in school, she began to work at a physical therapy clinic where she was mentored and taught by Dr.Jared Cooper, DPT. Graduating in 2017, she was already proficient in medical massage for injuries. Her pursuit of knowledge brought her to New Jersey Massage where she was then mentored by Larry Heisler, MA, LMT and Cheryl Chapman, RN, HN-BC, LMT. Since then, she has completed her Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching and Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certifications.
