Description: The Tragerwork Mindfulness group of workshops explore the body-mind connection through somatic movement, aware touch, and shared mindfulness. These skills complement your massage treatments by: reducing or eliminating massage therapist burnout; preparing the client's body for deep work with less strain; developing, transmitting and sharing mindful presence. The basis of this class in particular, is the experience of grounding by promoting proprioceptive rooting for balance and stability. Feet, legs and hips, and their interconnection with the rest of the body, are the focus of this training. About the Instructor: Fernando Rojas-Otero, PhD, LMT, RSMT Certified originally in 2004 in Osho Rebalancing, a meditative bodywork modality that combines deep tissue (Rolfing) and Osho Joint Release (Tragerwork). Then went on to complete the full Trager® Approach training in 2011. Fernando is affiliated with: The International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA) , United States Trager Association (USTA), Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). He also served as a therapeutic massage lecturer, instructor, externship clinic manager, massage therapy program manager and faculty lead for educational institutions in both New Jersey and Puerto Rico. "Tragerwork Mindfulness is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMT's continuing education that is accepted by the state of NY for license renewal."
