Service Description

This is a 2 day class on October 15th & November 5th 9 AM - 5 PM (both Sundays) With Linda Addario, LMT You may have been introduced to trigger points in massage school. However, this course is designed to take your skill to the next level of understanding and implementation of trigger point therapy. You will gain knowledge about the physiology of trigger points, types, causes, common client complaints/signs/symptoms, causative factors, treatment strategies and conditions commonly associated with trigger points and myofascial pain syndromes. We will palpate each other for trigger points in major muscle groups and learn techniques for reducing trigger points. What you learn in this course can be applied immediately in your practice with your clients. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Bring sheets and lubricant. This class is for Massage Therapists and other Health Professionals. About the Instructor: Linda is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy, has been licensed to practice massage for more than 20 years and has also been an instructor at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy. Linda enjoyed teaching so much that she created and taught multiple continuing education classes. Prior to her massage career, Linda graduated from Maria College and maintains her certificate as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Appreciating the value of movement in daily living, bridging the gap of massage and movement, she became certified as a personal trainer to assist with correcting functional movement patterns. Currently, her practice focus is a proactive approach to injury treatment/recovery, injury prevention, wellness, relaxation massage and movement. Linda integrates modalities such as; NMT, MLD, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping, Pin & Stretch, Assisted Stretching, Thai Yoga Massage, Traditional Indian Head Massage to create bodywork sessions that are uniquely customized to her clients’ needs. Linda very much enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with her clients and other practitioners. She offers a mentor-ship program for other massage therapists looking to advance their knowledge and skills.
