Art Therapy 10 AM - 2 PM Sunday, October 19th $25 Join us for a unique self-expression experience. Activities for the day include: "Kintsugi Mended Heart" Healing Art Workshop with JuliAnn Gessler Discover the beauty in brokenness through the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. This workshop offers a meaningful journey into the art of healing, where we learn to transform what is shattered into something even more beautiful. We’ll begin with a calming, heart-centered guided meditation, allowing us to connect deeply with ourselves and reflect on the healing power of love and community. From there, you'll choose a hand-painted heart, symbolizing your unique journey. You’ll then rip it apart, mindfully glue it back together, and “repair” its cracks with shimmering gold paint—celebrating the beauty in imperfection. Finally, you'll seal your creation with an acrylic gloss. The result will be a beautiful, symbolic piece that you can display as a magnet or ornament—an ongoing reminder of resilience, transformation, and the power of healing. Unmask Your True Self: Go on an artistic, creative journey to explore who you are...We will use a mask as a blank canvas...We will decorate the outside of a mask to represent how you believe others perceive you. Decorate the inside of the mask to reflect your true self—the inner you. Also, we will incorporate art journaling: a creative blend of writing and visual art, to explore emotion and deepen self-awareness. Come create, reconnect, explore and free yourself in a safe, supportive space. Light lunch and art supplies are provided.
