9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Daily Sat August 15, 2026 & Sun August 16, 2026 $586 Early Bird $599 Reg In this class, we will use various stretching techniques, massage tools, and specialized equipment to teach you the skills needed to offer your clients Isolated Stretch Therapy with specific knowledge on muscle groups and body parts. You will learn to become comfortable with a variety of tools and practices to include PNF techniques, theraband or green strap loops, and foam rollers. Student will: Learn key stretches for neck, back, and lower body Apply tools and techniques for assisted stretching Create treatment plans for common muscle tightness Describe the benefits of Stretch Therapy Review the basic large muscle anatomy groups Describe the physiology of muscle contractions with muscles spindles Perform Active Cervical Stretching techniques. Perform Assistive Hamstring Stretch Demonstrate active-assisted lower extremity stretching with bands Develop specific treatment plans for upper body tightness. In order to reach that goal, the therapist should have a good understanding of the basic anatomy and kinesiology of the body and its movements. Stretching uses the mechanism, length-tension relationship, that creates either an overactive or underactive pull on our joints over time. This chronic tension on joints causes malalignment and eventually severe pain in common areas such as neck, shoulders, hamstrings and back to name a few. Chronic injuries or imbalances such as hip tightness, hamstrings strains, lack of balance in ankles, low back pain, Achilles tendonitis, Golfer‘s elbow, Tennis elbow and much more. About the Instructor: As a respected health and wellness practitioner, an acclaimed entrepreneur, and educator, Davonna Willis is a passionate advocate for her clients and students. She has a masters in health education and bachelor’s in athletic training. Davonna has over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness field. Starting in the Bronx and moving her way west, Davonna is a well rounded business professional especially accomplished in the area of holistic physical rehabilitation therapy.
