The Body's Wisdom in Healing Trauma Beneath the surface of every sensation lies a story waiting to be heard. Our bodies speak in a language older than words - in subtle signals, quiet whispers, gentle invitations to listen more deeply. When we learn to hear this language, something profound begins to unfold: the wisdom that transforms both how we meet trauma and how we support healing. Why This Journey Matters This is an invitation to discover how your body's intelligence naturally supports healing and resilience. Through guided exploration, you'll learn how subtle shifts in awareness can release old patterns and create new possibilities. Here, trauma isn't something to fix, but a doorway to understanding the body's remarkable capacity for restoration. Students will learn the role of the vagus nerve in the autonomic nervous system and its connection to trauma and PTSD. Then apply somatic mindfulness techniques to enhance vagal tone and resilience. This class will help develop hands-on skills in bodywork techniques specifically targeting the vagus nerve to support trauma healing. These techniques can be integrated into a therapeutic massage practice to help clients with trauma-related symptoms. Each Somatic Mindfulness workshop is self-contained and there are no prerequisites to take each of the themes.
